Nagendra Gurram
Staff Software Engineer at Abnormal AI
Nagendra Gurram is a Staff Software Engineer at Abnormal AI, where he leads hands-on technical work across the company's identity security posture products — Security Posture Management (SPM), Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM), and Adaptive Identity Reset (AIR). His work sits on the posture side of identity risk: building the systems that surface misconfiguration, excessive privilege, and identity exposure before an attacker can exploit them, and that safely restore trust to accounts once they've been compromised. Before Abnormal, Nagendra was a founding engineer at GXS Bank (Grab x Singtel), where he built the digital banking platform from the ground up and architected Payments, Fraud, and AML services in Go — including a fraud-prevention blacklist built with the Singapore Police Force that earned GXS the Outstanding Community Partner award. As a Solutions Architect at DBS Bank, he led 50+ engineers through a monolith-to-microservices migration and designed a data-sovereignty system for DBS Indonesia. At Thales, he built a high-security Command and Control platform under G50 clearance, and over a decade at IBM he worked on POWER enterprise-server firmware and RAS, contributing to system bring-ups behind the Summit supercomputer. Nagendra holds five US patents, is a member of the Center for Internet Security and the OpenID Foundation working group, and holds an M.Tech in Software Systems from BITS Pilani.
