Auto-Forwarding and Google Groups Protection for Google Workspace provide pre-delivery scanning and remediation for emails that are automatically forwarded to third-party services or sent to Google Groups collaborative inboxes, so these messages receive the same level of protection as emails delivered directly to user inboxes.
With this release:
Emails are processed by Abnormal before Google applies auto-forwarding rules or delivers them to Google Groups collaborative inboxes
Malicious messages are quarantined before they reach third-party tools such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or ServiceNow, or shared mailboxes such as support@, finance@, or security@, while safe messages continue to their intended destination
Note - Auto-Forwarding Protection for Microsoft 365 is already available.
